Ken started his career in 1984 with Canadian Pacific Forest Products (now Bowater) in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Working there as an Automation Specialist, he was responsible for design, commissioning and maintenance of the DCS systems in the mill. Including those on Valmet's No. 5 Paper Machine
In 1994 he joined the operations group and became an Operations Supervisor. In this role he was responsible for a 1500+ T/Day Newsprint Mill that included 3 Paper Machines, a Recycled Pulp Mill, a TMP Pulp Mill, A Ground Wood Pulp Mill, a Steam Plant and Water Quality & Effluent Plants.
In 1999 he chose to become a Senior Partner with KMH Engineering to further enhance his career and allow him to work again with his specialty - Automation.
Ken is considered to be a DCS/Automation Systems Specialist.
In his career he has been responsible for DCS System Design and Automation System Configuration for all types of equipment in Heavy Industry.
