June 8, 2009: KMH provided a reliable back up level control for Reactor Clarifier and Lift Station Sumps. A new Emergency Control panel will be installed in the Effluent Plant MCC that will include back-up stand alone Moore 353 level controllers and pump start/stop pushbuttons. The cabinet will be powered from a redundant 600V bus to ensure continuous power in the event of a failure (600V alternate feed is from the emergency generator). New redundant ultrasonic level transmitters will be installed in both the Reactor Clarifier and Lift Station sumps. As-well new float switches will also be installed to start and stop the pumps directly in the case of a failure of the back-up controls; the float switches will be direct wired to the pump VFD’s.
KMH supplied the Backup Control Panel, FAT tested at KMH facilities.
