December 1, 2002: KMH has received an order to provide detailed electrical and mechanical engineering design services for the replacement of two obsolete unit substations for the Kimberly-Clark kraft pulp mill located in Terrace Bay, ON. The modernized 13.8 kV/600V and 13.8 kV/4160V substations will incorporate Square D cast coil dry type transformers and SEL protective relaying. The power feed will be transferred to a new 13.8 kV supply from an obsolete 6.9 kV distribution system. A new building is planned for the 600 V unit substation. Startup is scheduled for June 2003.
