October 1, 2006: KMH Engineering Inc. has commissioned the startup of a KMH Genstar hydroelectric turbine control system for a 256 kW unit installed at Fergus, Ontario. KMH provided a PLC based control system, 600 volt power centre, and high-pressure hydraulic unit for the project. Features for the unmanned station include remote alarm notification via e-mail and remote control of the station via a high-speed internet connection.
