KMH Provides Design for 4160V Power to Tailings Pond
September 10, 2008: This project consisted of the installation of a new 4160 Volt overhead pole line extension in a tailings pond area at a remote mine site. Included in the scope was modifications to existing 4160 Volt line pole during scheduled outage to accommodate continuation of overhead line to Tailings Pond area, two (2) mine access road crossings, one dead end line termination pole, and widening of 0.5 km of existing 115 kV pole line right of way by 15 m through brushing and tree clearing to accommodate new 4160 volt overhead line.
