KMH Provides E&I and Automation Design for Paper Mill Cooked Starch System
July 29, 2008: KMH provided detailed E&I design, automation services and commissioning and startup support for a new Cooked Starch system and ASA Emulsifier for two newsprint paper machines. The new system is comprised of a Starch Makedown and Slurry Transfer/Holding system, two (2) Starch Cooker systems and Starch Paste Holding and delivery systems. Automation services included programming of customer GE Rx7i PLC (makedown system), vendor cooker ControlLogix PLC’s, and configuration of customer Foxboro DCS, including switched Ethernet gateway to PLC’s.
