February 1, 2001: KMH has provided detailed E&I design, control configuration, construction management and commissioning and start up services to Orion CEM (Emerson Process Management) for Bowater, Thunder Bay's controls upgrade of the B Recovery and No. 6 Power Boiler systems. Upgrades included new instrumentation and electrical equipment controlled by new Siemens S7 PLC's and Foxboro I/A DCS systems. A new control room was included in the project. KMH managed the replacement of panel mounted pneumatic and relay based controls over the course of 2 shutdowns totaling only 20 days.
